Local Weight Watchers Group

Two ladies have lost over 50lbs each at a local weight watchers group. The group, run by Lorraine Jones, is held every Thursday at the New methodist church on Blackburn Rd, Darwen at 9.30am, 5pm and 6.30pm.

Last week in class they had an Australian theme to go along with warm weather and ideas for healthy BBQ's. The photo shows some of the participants from the group. Lorraine says "We not only support weight loss but we have fun too."

Each week people come along to get weighed and get support in their weight loss journey and we always have an informative, interactive talk with some fun elements. For example Healthy and bad fats which fats raise blood cholesterols and which fats are good for you.
