Eccleshall beat Darwen for the second time in the Vodkat League First Division this season with two goals in a little over 5 minutes.The second half goals were scored with a 25 yard deflected shot by Dean Ennion and a header by Eccleshall captain Adam Soane.
Darwen went into the game full of confidence after beating Stone Dominoes in a midweek away fixture but Eccleshall chose Saturdays game to score their first home league goals since August to leave Darwen on 16 points.
Darwen face Padiham away on Boxing Day who will be looking to pick up all three points to go top of the league. AFC Liverpool currently lead the way with one extra point but have played a game more than Padiham.
