Darwen bank holiday weather

Despite a promising start the weather is expected to turn cooler and more showery as we progress through the bank holiday weekend according to Metcheck.

On Saturday we experienced sunny spells throughout the day, however we are more likely to see increasing rain showers across Darwen during Sunday and Monday. Despite some sunny spells, we aren't forecast to see temparatures rise much above double figures.

The good news is that after two wet and cool summers we are being told to prepare for a hot, dry summer by the Met Office this year!

So with prolonged spells of warm weather between June and August maybe we can finally dust down those barbecues. Despite the "confident" announcement by the Met Office they believe the chances of another wetsummer is very low.

Our advice - make the most of it whenever possible. Quite often it seems to be raining in Darwen even if TV forecasts said it would be fine and dry - much like this bank holiday!
